Policy for selection and appointment of Statutory Central Auditors and
Statutory Branch Auditors in the Bank
Public Sector Banks including UCO Bank having Balance Sheet size (Assets +
Liabilities) of above `1 lakh core have been indentified for exercising managerial
autonomy in regard to appointment of Statutory Central Auditors and Statutory
Branch Auditors for the year 2008-09 and onwards. Accordingly, UCO Bank has
exercised managerial autonomy in regard to selection and appointment of
Statutory Central Auditors and Statutory Branch Auditors form the year 2008-09.
RBI gives the list of Auditors who can be considered for Statutory Central Audit and
Statutory Branch Audit. From the list, the Bank will select the required number of
Auditors after taking the consent of those Auditors for conducting Statutory Central
Audit and Statutory Branch Audit and the same will be sent to RBI for their prior
approval for such appointment. The Bank’s policy in this regard has been approved
in the meeting of the Board of Directors held on 6th September, 2008.
The above procedure will be in vogue for the current year i.e. 2011- 2012 also.
