Position- Analyst- GFC


Group Description:
This position is a part of DTT Global Finance which deals with the financial reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting, expenses/costs detail support, transactions and related areas in support of business unit(s) within the DTT organization. The individual will perform detailed financial statement audits, financial analysis, report creation, and support projects being led by the team. The role includes creation of deliverables for executive leadership, so the successful candidate must be highly organized with a keen eye for detail, and be able to quickly respond to leadership ad hoc requests.

Job Responsibilities:

• Financial statement Audits

o Support the financial statement audits for member firms within an analytical framework o Evaluate operating controls, guidelines and processes in accordance with GAAP and IFRS principles. o Assists in development of persuasive management presentations and other support materials (such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes, and status reports) to drive the implementation of projects o Able to work with contacts across the firm to resolve tough, complex issues o Ensures open communications and quick and accurate responses to leadership requests as needed.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis

o Supports the validation and data integrity checks on balance sheets and P&Ls. o Analyzes member firm financial data, including detailed analysis of Balance sheets and P&Ls. o Supports creation of monthly financial reporting deliverables including financial dashboards, trend analysis, variance analysis and other analytical tools. o Assist when required on ad hoc deliverables. o Supports creation of executive-level reports in PPT and Excel, typically for DTTL and member firm finance leadership o Assists in development of complex financial models, when required o Develops expertise using DTTL reporting tools and systems, such as SAP BW

• Project management

o Assists Manager and Senior Analyst in creation of project deliverables. Projects are typically high-profile and in support of financial and operational performance improvement and initiatives as defined by DTTL Finance leadership o Assists Manager and Senior Analyst in creation and maintenance of project support materials, such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes, and status reports

Background o 2-3 years in an accounting or corporate finance role, preferably in a global organization o MBA Finance or CA Inter with article ship candidates are preferred.

• Skills

o Proficient in Excel for financial analytics; PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations; and familiar with Access. Can effectively use other commonly-used software, such as Word and Outlook, in completion of work. o Proficient, or able to become proficient quickly, with DTTL financial systems (SAP ECC, BW, other as needed). o Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with members of team and DTTL Finance. o Has a basic understanding of financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms.

• Characteristics

o The ideal candidate must possess a flexible work style and be able to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods in order to meet deadlines. o Works to develop network within DTTL Finance to aid in the understanding of financial data. o Should be able to work effectively within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team. o Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects.
