HOW CAN I READ WEB CONTENT WITHOUT THE ACCOMPANYING DISTRACTIONS
HOW CAN I READ WEB CONTENT WITHOUT THE ACCOMPANYING DISTRACTIONS

Websites can be so annoying these days distracting banners, multiple links, thumbnails, weird backgrounds and hundreds of elements on a single page can detract from the one purpose youre there for to read.Evernote, makers of multiple productivity and reminder tools, have designed a Chrome extension called Clearly. If you dont have Google Chrome already, you can download it free from www.google.com/chrome.Once you do that,go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Evernote Clearly (its free and downloads in only a few seconds).Clearly installs itself as a toolbar button and literally makes basic elements on a webpage clearer to read it removes all the distracting elements (ads, banners, links) and leaves only the main block of text and supporting images behind. It works best on an article (inside) page rather than on the home page of a website. If the website developers have split an article into multiple pages (often done to increase page clicks) Clearly will automatically place all the text on a single page. You can also save any text into your Evernote account for later reading and change the theme (background colour, font style) and text size with a single click.Clearly,it seems like the smarter way to read anything online.
