Accounting close and Reporting:
· Responsible for smooth functioning of Month/ Qtr Close activities, including assurance of accurate and timely results.
· Address to the Date to Day Operational issues
· Manages accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting financial results.
· Oversees the analysis and reporting of accounting data for both external reporting and internal Management decision making/analysis.
· Responsible for quarterly sub MRL processes
· Conducts stakeholder and risk analysis on key issues.
· Closely work with Global Corporate , Tax and Treasury team
Audits and Controls
· Responsible for annual statutory audits and other special audits
· Liaison with external consultants & Auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.
· Responsible for compliance of accounting processes within I-GAAP requirements
· Responsible for complying with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 requirement as applicable
· Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.
· Manage /Improve & implements accounting policies and procedures in conformance with current corporate guidance and US GAAP policies.
People Management
· Establishes budgets, operational plans and performance requirements.
· Acts as an advisor to subordinate leaders or staff members.
· Responsible for career development/planning, performance and remuneration of team members.
· Independently managing teams and daily operations.
Improvements & Initiatives
· Drives change and ensures scaling of operation through automation, work assessment and process improvement
· Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
· Initiates new or revised procedures, programs, and initiatives
· Weighs alternatives and considers service and business implications of decisions.
Chartered Accountant with minimum 12-15 years post qualification work experience.
Must have sound knowledge on Indian GAAP and other statutory compliances
Working knowledge on US-GAAP is necessary
Must have excellent communication & inter personal skills
MNC work experience is preferable
