Introduction

IDEA Cellular is a publicly listed company, having listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in March 2007.

Idea is the 3rd largest mobile services operator in India, in revenue terms, and recorded a subscriber base of over 78 million as on end November '10. It became a pan-India integrated GSM operator covering the entire telephony landscape of the country, and expanded its NLD and ILD operations in FY 2010. During the year, Idea increased its revenue market share by over 1%, despite stiff tariff war in the market.

The company has won license to offer 3G services in 11 service areas, which generate over 81% of the company's total revenue. Idea's 3G services will be launched in the year 2011.

Idea's strong growth in the Indian telephony market comes from its deep penetration in the non-urban and rural markets. Idea offers seamless coverage to roaming customers traveling to any part of the country, as well as to international traveling customers across over 200 countries.   • Receiving claims from fra by hard/ soft copies by       7th of every month
  • Run queries and avail data from various sources for claim processing
  • Forward activity commission data to response team for their verification.

Accurate accounting for revenue, & Commission Payouts.


Quality of MIS for enhanced decision making for revenue enhancement & cost reduction.



100 % compliance for all agreements made between IDEA with Channels/Franchise.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY
Franchisee management fee payout
  • Payouts relating to servicing, collection, business turnover of our associated Partners and Processing, verification and payment of franchisee incentive & bonanza. Processing and verification and payment of employee¿s incentive.
SETTING FINACE BACK END PROCEDURE FOR NEW FRANCHISEE.
  • Screening of franchisee documents for agreement preparation.
  • Prepare & send accounting procedural manuals to the franchisee.
  • Franchisee coordinators, managers & the sales team.

Financial Reporting

  • Implement accounting policy, procedures & systems for presenting true & fair view of the circle¿s financial performance.
  • Accounting for various streams of revenues & Commission payouts.
  • Implementing & monitoring cash management systems for collection of fund from various locations in UPE to corporate office.

Management Information System

  • Prepare Management Information system report as per specified formats & reporting frequencies and as per defined provisioning / accruing method.
  • Prepare variance analysis for review and decision support.

Credit control

  • Ensure & monitor implementation of Credit policy including exposure for business associates
                

Budgetary Control

  • Monitor and control adherence to the expense budgets during the year.

Cost Reduction

  • Identify & achieve reduction in operating cost as regards to cost in the area of Commission Payouts.
  • Channel Service
Ensure adherence to timelines & resolve all conflicts relating to Channels services at Circle level (Activation error, delay in Payment of commission etc.)
