| Finance and Accounting Function |
| •
General Ledger Accounting and Fixed Assets Accounting. These functions
are outsourced to third party outsourcers, which demands very frequent
interaction with the outsourcer including but not limited to providing
process level direction and providing support in issue resolution
• Monthly and quarterly closing as per Symantec Corporate Close calendar – US GAAP
• Carry out monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve issues
• Responsible for the statutory audits of the India Legal entities
including preparing the financial statements and relevant schedules,
liase with the other stake holders to get the information for financial
statement preparation. Work with the statutory auditors to get the audit
completed. Identify potential issues and discuss audit issues with the
Manager Accounting to facilitate decision making on those issues.
Expected to be updated with respect to technical accounting and
disclosures changes that have an impact on the financial statements.
Ensure to maintain adequate audit filing system including but not
limited to documentation of information given to auditors, issues and
resolutions, work papers, schedules, grouping, financial statements etc.
• Statutory compliance with respect to the STPI and SEZ compliances
including timely preparation and filing of invoices and SOFTEX forms,
monthly and annual performance review.
• Providing accounting information required for tax department with
respect to assessment proceedings. The provide information to tax
department required for the purpose of tax provision and tax audit

| • Chartered Accountant
• 2 - 3 years experience
• Experience with a Multinational, preferably a Software Product or IT Services or ITES company
• Articleship or post qualification experience with a Big 4 Accounting firm will be a big plus |
