| Reports
to Senior Director – APJC.. Will help oversee country tax strategy for
Cisco’s operations in India and ensure alignment with global tax
strategy and priorities. This includes all Cisco entities in the country
covering – sales & marketing, R&D, services, financing and
coordinating with the theater and HQ tax teams. The position is intended
to provide support to the India Country Tax Manager in coverage for our
global expansion in a fast-growing jurisdiction with its own tax
system, culture, and language.
University degree in accounting or similar field, or Law degree. CPA / CA or legal professional certification required. - Managing tax provision/accounting, FIN 48 process - Managing corporate tax audits and assessments - Assist in implement strategies to minimize corporate tax and ensure accurate and timely tax compliance - Entity reorganization, mergers and acquisitions integration support and compliances - Partnering with regional / local finance and business organizations and providing day to day support to routine tax queries - Active collaboration with Indirect, Compliance and Customs/Trade teams to resolve tax issues - Transfer pricing support - Understanding implications of changes in tax laws on business operations and communicating, setting up processes around the same - Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish milestones to meet objectives - Qualified candidates should have ~8 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years should be in Taxation handling tax affairs in a large corporate enterprise. - Familiarity with transaction-based tax systems. - This position requires an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. - Candidates need to be self confident and work independently to support multiple operational teams in country - Team player, customer centric attitude - As Cisco is a US multinational, US background or experience with a US multinational is preferred, but not a pre-requisite. - Fluency in English written and spoken, is required. - Strong computer skills - Travel might be required in India. | ||
