Reg: Statutory Audit of our Branches as at 31st March 2012.
At the very outset , we would like to convey our sincere thanks for your co-operation / support extended to us in timely completion of finalization and audit of annual accounts as at 31.03.2011. For statutory audit of annual accounts as at 31.03.2012, we are waiting for guidelines/criteria for selection of branches for statutory audit from RBI. As and when, we receive the guidelines; we shall start the further process immediately.
We hope your firm’s name will continue on RBI’s list of Bank’s panel of our bank statutory auditors this year.
Our bank has taken many ‘ GO GREEN’ initiatives by the use of information technology. The Bank’s vision of paperless banking is further supplemented by our division’s initiative of paperless audit. To achieve this objective, incumbents incharge of branches as well as Statutory Branch Auditor should have digital certificates. We hope that authorized signatory of your firm must has digital certificate. If not, please get the same at the earliest as a few days are left for finalization and audit of annual accounts. We shall communicate this aspect in your appointment letter to be issued very shortly after receipt of guidelines from RBI.
As per our schedule, statutory audit of branches should commence on 03.04.2012 and should be completed by 11.04.2012 invariably.
