Job Description
As an analyst in the Maritime Research space, your key focus areas shall include:
a. Track the Maritime industry closely and monitor its key parameters for analysing future trends and its impact.
c. Track various public companies in the maritime sector including their financial and operational performance.
d. Track various macro economic indicators for countries/regions
from a maritime perspective to update various stakeholders
periodically.
e. Prepare and update internal memos and presentation on a regular basis.
f. Preparation of various fund, investor and lender presentations.
g. Feasibility study/ pitch book preparation for new product launches involving macro market analysis.
h. Participate actively in various technology and automation projects.
i. Communicate with Onshore team regularly to manage their expectations and deliverables.
Qualifications

Education: MBA / CA with good academic background, financial concentration.Experience: 1-3 years post qualification experience preferably in a financial services organization tracking maritime, transportation or infrastructure sector.Skill sets:· Strong interest in research with high attention to detail.· Exposure to advanced MS office applications. Good excel skills (Formula, Pivot table, Macros etc.)· Good understanding of macro economic indicators and keen interest in maritime sector.· Exposure to financial modeling.· Ability to interpret financial statements and reports.· Well developed written and quantitative analytic skills.· Analytical bend of mind with a keen eye for detail.· Problem solving skills, Strong partnership skills.· Excellent written and oral communication skills.· Experience in client facing roles.

Knowledge of Maritime sector or acquaintance to financial databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson One Analytics, Reuters Factiva shall be an added advantage.
